Born in Strasbourg, Lucile is an animated film director and a graduate of Gobelins Paris.
Her work combines video, animation, image and writing, often through fragmented and non-linear narratives. She develops poetic and dreamlike worlds where landscapes reflect inner states.
Sensitive to materiality, she works with textures, traces and fragile gestures, allowing images to remain open, imperfect and vulnerable.Having grown up in a rural environment, nature and ecological concerns strongly influence both the themes and atmospheres of her work.
Through her films, Lucile explores memory, perception and the thin boundary between reality and fiction. My work is rooted in a search for fragile and sensitive forms of narration. Through animation, image and writing, I explore what resists clear storytelling: sensations, fragments, silences and moments of uncertainty.Materiality is central to my practice. I am drawn to textures, traces and imperfect gestures, to images that show their own vulnerability. Rather than polished surfaces, I work with images as sensitive matter, shaped by time, manipulation and hesitation.Landscapes often appear as emotional spaces rather than realistic representations. They allow me to express inner states, memories and to blur the boundary between reality and fiction.Through my films, I seek to slow down perception and invite a more attentive, delicate way of looking
