“
The big bad wolf
Wraps himself in human skins,
Tears out his teeth, turns them into knives, and files down his claws.
”
The sky turned black (2023) is a short film I made in four days for a “48-hour” challenge centered on the theme of horror. In this film, I revisited the monstrous figure that haunted our childhood tales: the wolf.
The film is inspired by the poem above, which I had written some time earlier. I was reflecting on how evil can hide within any man, emerge from anywhere, and infiltrate even the most intimate spaces. This subject is deeply important to me, as it addresses questions of gender relations as well as sexist and sexual violence.
