This pastel-animation short film is a free adaptation of Le Blé en herbe (Ripening Seed) by Colette, a novel that explores the friction-filled relationship between two adolescents and their awakening to sensuality.

Vinca, a female character burdened by social injunctions, lets herself drift out to sea. In doing so, she brushes against a fragile sense of freedom made possible by reverie. Through its hazy, airy quality, animated dry pastel echoes and enhances the narrative.
