Tels allumés (2024) is an animated music video I directed for the artist McLovin, following the journey of a character in search of a telephone booth.
Throughout the film, he moves through various deserted and organic spaces that echo his memories.
The settings carry the meanings and symbols of the character’s inner world. He crosses landscapes such as an ice floe whose water is filled with videos symbolizing memories. He travels through mountains, a forest, and a sky also made of video projections. When he finally discovers the telephone booth and picks up the receiver, he enters into genuine contact with another person. All of these elements shape his transformation throughout the film and resonate with the song’s lyrics.
